A light lunch at Gustav Adolf was a delicious foray into a Swedish cuisine in Malmo, Sweden
After a rather interesting experience of touring and appreciating the Museum of Disgusting Foods, it was definitely time for cleansing my palate and eating food I was – frankly comfortable with and used to eating variations of. So, we walked to Gustav Adolf for a light lunch.

Settling in, I immediately ordered the HUGO SPRITZ as a FLÄDER SPRITZ.
To share, we ordered the STEN BROMANS WHISKY MEATBALLS (cream sauce, mashed potatoes, pickled cucumber and lingonberries) together with the WIENSERSCHNITZEL OF PORK ( red wine sauce, herb butter and French fries).

They were both simply delicious. It was life affirming to sit outside in a Sweden, enjoy the sunshine and be present in how different foods are thought of as normal or disgusting,
I slathered the lingonberry sauce on EVERYTHING I could. It was delicious.
I also had a very nice glass of the Swedish beer, Mariestads, as I mentally toasted all the fuck boys, fake friends and passive aggressive haters that helped shaped me to the person I am today.

And my friends, I toast them and am grateful for them everyday.
Lunch at Gustav Adolf was a delicious and worth it stop during my brief sojourn in Malmo, Sweden.
