After a great sleep, I just wanted a decent breakfast. So I went downstairs to Trailhead Social. I didn’t need it to be the beautiful breakfast at Moevai at Hilton Hotel Tahiti experience - or my breakfast at Limelight Mammoth. I was simply hoping for solid, well-executed food from a Tapestry Collection by Hilton property.
Lackluster, uninspired, and nowhere near what I expect from a Tapestry Collection hotel. Even the Whitney Peak Hotel Reno, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, has Cafe Whitney, which delivers a deliciously good breakfast experience. Alas, Trailhead Social does not.
Actually, calling it Hampton Inn level might be generous. At least there, you can make your own waffle – and you’ll find some form of protein beyond yogurt.
And yes, there were options to order low effort breakfast sandwiches. But, this wasn’t it. For a better option, I should have headed back to The Living Room at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. But, instead, I endured.
Needless to say, I later absolutely devoured my lunch at FiftyFifty Brewing Co – because I was just that damn hungry.
