Café Whitney in Reno offers elevated breakfast classics like chilaquiles and avocado toast in a stylish, modern setting inside the Whitney Peak Hotel
After a memorable stretch in Lake Tahoe and Reno—where crisp mountain air met craft brews and omakase magic—it was time to return to Los Angeles. But not before one last indulgence: breakfast at Café Whitney, the stylish, ground-floor restaurant inside the Whitney Peak Hotel.
From the moment I stepped in, the space struck a perfect balance. It felt modern, airy, and just polished enough for a good vibe.

I ordered the CHILAQUILES (avocado, queso fresco, red onion, guajillo, removed fried eggs) with a twist: half chicken tinga, half carne asada, no eggs, because I wanted spice and texture, not yolk.
A side of FRESH FRUIT added brightness, and a HOT LATTE anchored the entire morning with warmth. Every bite was thoughtfully composed—bold, flavorful, and surprisingly refined for hotel dining.

The true luxury, though, was the ease. An elevator ride down, an unhurried meal, and then a quiet return upstairs to pack. Café Whitney made that final moment in Reno feel intentional. less like a goodbye, and more like a send-off.
