There are some spots in Koreatown that I would never find without another’s eagle eye for curating a delicious dining experience. Such was the case when Thom and I made plans to dine together for discovery and conversation. When he gave me a list of restaurants to pick from – from his own list of “to try” in Los Angeles – I choose Borit Gogae. It looked unique and adventurous – and Thom was the perfect person to try it with.

Now, the thing about Borit Gogae is that the focus on the meal revolves around barley rice. So, once we sat down and browse the menu, it was automatic that we would order the main base of the meal.
