After dropping off my new finds from Nordstrom back at my room at the The Charter Hotel Seattle, Curio Collection By Hilton, it was time for doing the most traditional and fun thing to do in Downtown Seattle: walk Pike Place Market.

So, as I’ve done multiple times in previous visits, I walked the short distance down to the waterfront and meandered around. I happened to pass a window showcasing workers making cheese. Curious, I looked around and found myself transfixed.

I walked a bit of the market itself and the area around – before walking back.

Walking into Beecher's Handmade Cheese at Pike Place Market once more, I decided to get a very late lunch – as I hadn’t eaten since the single bagel I had at the airport before my flight in the morning.

As I took my Smoked Turkey (flagship, just jack, turkey, tomato and Beecher’s spread) and walked to one of my favorite lookouts at Pike Place, I felt a sense of appreciation for the moment.

Plus, the sandwich was absolutely delicious.
