When planning my one-night stay in Louisville, I knew I wanted somewhere comfortable and close to a lively area. After a quick search, the Hotel Bourré Bonne Louisville immediately caught my eye. Its comfortable and taste forward design and location made it an easy choice.

Check In
Check-in was seamless. I completed the process online earlier in the day, and soon after, I was notified that my room was ready. Following the Buffalo Trace Distillery: The Trace Tour and James B. Beam Distilling Co: Beam Made Bourbon Tour and Tasting, I was more than ready to unwind.

As soon as I stepped into the lobby, I was struck by the warm, inviting design that instantly made me feel at ease. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful, even recommending a great walkable spot for dinner. Doc Crow’s definitely did not disappoint.
Room & Stay
To say I enjoyed my room would be an understatement. Simply put, I only wish I’d had more time there. Located at the end of the hall, my room featured a thoughtful layout with a long hallway and beautifully designed bathroom apart from the bedroom. The bedroom itself was visually delicious, with large windows that flooded the space with natural light.

The bathroom was also well designed.

After dinner, I capped off the evening with a cocktail at The Rooftop at Hotel Bourre Bonne, which was the perfect end to the day.

Overall
My stay at Hotel Bourré Bonne Louisville was nothing short of lovely. Truly, it was comfortable, stylish, and conveniently located to Whiskey Row.

I also appreciated how walkable downtown Louisville was, with history visible at every turn – even as certain people try to erase America’s memories.

I am the American dream of my enslaved ancestors, made real.
