There are a few hotel brands where, the moment I tap “confirm reservation,” I already know what kind of experience awaits me. After memorable stays at 1 Hotel Central Park in New York City, 1 Hotel Toronto in Canada, and 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay in Kauai, I knew a visit to 1 Hotel Nashville would be a natural addition to my collection of stays.
Check In
After a morning in Lynchburg touring and tasting at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, followed by a comforting Southern lunch at Miss Mary Bobo’s Restaurant, I made the easy drive into downtown Nashville.
Finding the entrance to 1 Hotel Nashville proved slightly tricky at first — the shared block with the neighboring Embassy Suites made for a small navigation puzzle. But, one extra loop around the block and I was soon handing my keys to valet.

Check-in, as always with 1 Hotels, was seamless. Within minutes, I was in the elevator heading up to the 10th floor.

Room + Stay
Stepping off the elevator and into my room, I was greeted with a familiar sense of calm — that signature 1 Hotel blend of modern sustainability and organic warmth. The space felt instantly inviting. I breathed in and thought, yes — this is exactly why I stay here.

Everything was thoughtfully designed, from the reclaimed wood accents to the soft, earth-toned textiles. When I noticed the signature slippers missing from the closet, a quick text to the front desk resolved it within minutes. It’s a small thing, but slipping into a pair of hotel slippers and padding around a serene, well-designed room remains one of my favorite travel rituals.

Location
The hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient. From here, it’s a pleasant walk to just about anywhere worth visiting downtown. I wandered to D’Andrews Bakery & Café for a pastry, admired the John Lewis mural along the parkway, and let the city’s rich musical history unfold beneath my feet. Nashville’s gentle hills made for scenic, effortless exploring.

Parking
Valet parking runs $65 per night. I initially attempted to park in a nearby lot, but when the payment app refused to cooperate, I took it as a sign to embrace convenience. Opting for valet turned out to be the right decision — the service was prompt, and the in-and-out access made my brief stay even smoother.

Harriet’s Rooftop Bar
After an evening out with my friend Ogden, we wrapped up the night with a visit to Harriet’s Rooftop Bar at the hotel. Ogden had raved about their espresso martinis, so I had to see what the hype was about. He wasn’t wrong — it was smooth, balanced, and the perfect way to cap off my night in Nashville.

Turndown Service
Returning to my room, I was greeted by the gentle glow of 1 Hotel’s turndown service — crisp sheets turned down, slippers placed neatly, and an atmosphere of calm luxury waiting for me. I brought my rooftop drink downstairs, slipped into my robe, and reflected on the day while writing light notes. It’s this blend of design, service, and understated indulgence that keeps me coming back to 1 Hotels.

Overall
My stay at 1 Hotel Nashville was everything I hoped for — elevated, effortless, and restorative. Though a minor billing error appeared after checkout, the front desk staff handled it quickly and professionally, offering fair compensation for the inconvenience.

Like every other property in the 1 Hotel family, Nashville delivered the same comforting consistency I’ve come to love — thoughtful design, impeccable service, and a deep respect for nature and hospitality. I look forward to the next one.
