Knowing that I had a big day of river rafting ahead of me, I knew that I needed to grab something more substantial than coffee to fuel my day’s adventure. So, before picking up Rosemary in Golden before heading into the Rockies, I stopped at Big Daddy Bagels along the way.
While at Big Daddy, it was only right that I order the BIG MOMMA BAGEL (turkey, sun-dried tomato spread, garlic & herb cream cheese, lettuce, tomato on parmesan bagel). Alongside some tangerine juice and a bag of chips, and it was the perfect way to start my day.
Sitting there for a few moments before getting back on the road, I felt that small but grounding pleasure that only comes from a well-chosen breakfast before an adventure. There’s something sacred about my pre-adventure rituals – from the coffee to the bagels and more – that put me into the right zone for the day ahead.
And in that moment, with my Big Momma in hand, the Rockies on the horizon, and the day just beginning… everything felt right on time.
