Before heading back to Los Angeles, I wanted a place to write and relax after a rather busy 48 hours. Plus, I was planing on meeting Brittany Colt (My Flying Dress Photoshoot Experience with Brittany Colt & Shawn Reeder) for mid morning coffee and conversation at Black Velvet Coffee. So, after saying goodbye to Deja and her husband, I made my way once again to Mammoth Coffee Roasting Company.

Literally, because I’m a creature of habit, I ordered the same thing as last time: a heaping cup of INTO THE WOODS and a delicious serving of BAGEL AND LOX (Nova Scotia smoked salmon, capers, cream cheese on a toasted everything bagel).

It was everything I could have asked for. And the moment I read an email from my escrow company stating that my listing was set to close the next day, I fully realized that – with this blog, my real estate career and producing art markets with Bespoke Art Society – that I am – finally, since my mom died, feeling okay again. That I can have a listing and go through a transaction and not have a subconscious panic that a parent is going to die again. Instead, my dad is okay, I have clients that love what I do and I can exist safely in this world.
And in the quiet moment of staring out of the window at Mammoth Coffee Roasting Company, watching life pass me by, that’s all I needed.

Wanting us to grab a bite to eat before heading to Mono Lake, I surveyed the breakfast landscape around Outbound Mammoth. The previous day’s breakfast at Café Crêpe – Mammoth Lakes was good. However, it was time for something different.
Happily, I found Mammoth Coffee Roasting Company, a bit up the street and not too far from the hotel. After finding parking in a nearby lot, we joined the long line of hungry patrons, looking for breakfast.

I ordered a cup of their medium / dark coffee roast of the day, INTO THE WOODS. Alongside, a cup of fresh squeezed ORANGE JUICE.
For the main points of breakfast, the DONUT RING was a must. Alongside, the BAGELS AND LOX (Nova Scotia smoked salmon, capers, cream cheese on a toasted everything bagel).

Everything was perfect for a lovely final morning in Mammoth.
