Little Dom's in Los Feliz, California is a cozy neighborhood favorite, known for its rustic Italian-American dishes, laid-back charm, and vintage atmosphere
After a mediocre experience at Civico 2026, Matt and I wanted desert and I wanted an evening cocktail. As I’d heard great things about All Time, I showed Matt the pastries menu and he agreed. So, after settling our check, we walked down the street to All Time’s entrance and I walked up to the host stand. I inquired about if they served dessert.
The restaurant was nearly empty with plenty of open tables inside, but the hostess told us we could only sit outside, on the sidewalk, for dessert. When I asked why, especially since it was cold and there were empty tables inside, she curtly said that inside seating was “full service only.” I found it strange that they’d turn down well meaning business, for that night and the future over such a rule, as it left me feeling strongly uncomfortable at the thought of spending even a dollar there. I have no interest going in restaurants in Los Angeles where you are segregated based on how much you’re expected to spend.
So, after Matt calmed me down with the powerful question: “Will it give you the result that will bring you peace?” – we walked to Little Dom’s.
In stark contrast to the unwarranted and unprovoked stand off energy of All Time, Little Dom’s was a warm and welcoming haven. The seating – both inside and outside, was lively and engaging. At the host stand, we were greeted with smiles and offered indoor or outdoor seating, based on our preference. There was no seating segregation here.

Our waitress was warm, inviting and respectful. I felt myself relax into the updated vintage vibe. Little Dom’s felt like a comfortable hug, in sharp contrast to earlier interactions in the evening.
I ordered an ESPRESSO MARTINI and the delicious MEYER LEMON ICEBOX PIE (with Ginger Graham Crust, Orange Blossom Honey and Candied Pistachios). Both were absolutely delicious.

This – this – was the vibe and energy we both wanted. This was proof that often, rejection is protection to steer you into something even better than you thought you wanted.
