After catching up with Gene at The Tasting Library, there was just one thing left to do: find a spot for dinner. Since he’s a Sheridan local, I let him choose the place.
Just two blocks away, we landed at La Herradura, a casual Mexican restaurant he swears has the best salsa in town.
The atmosphere was colorful and welcoming, and we were seated right away.
The dinner stated with a complimentary starter of chips, which definitely hit the spot.
I settled on the Tacos Rancheros (Three corn tortillas, fried with red mild sauce, filled with marinated chicken breast and topped with queso cotija, guacamole, sour cream and Pico de Gallo).
Dinner gave us more time to reconnect and talk about Gene’s life after college. Afterward, we strolled back to The Tasting Library and said our goodbyes.
