There are some people you meet during the day that you just connect with. While shopping for some delicious scents at Le Labo on Abbot Kinney in Venice, I met Manuel. After seeing him again on a return trip, I immediately asked if I could connect with him via social media. He agreed and we began a friendship of viewing each other’s stories and messaging.
Soon, it was time to meet and converse in person. Because he said Downtown Los Angeles would be convenient, I picked Good Clean Fun for a light dinner with wine.

Arriving, I was able to find street parking, which is always a plus. Sitting at the table, I was extremely happy to discover that the spot was just as chill and happy as I’d wanted it to be.

We ordered and shared the BREAD & BUTTER (Toasted Country Sourdough & European Style Butter) and HALF DOZEN RAW OYSTERS.

Then, the CACIO E PEPE BUCATINI (Pork, Fresh Parmesan, Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper) was stellar.
There were two other smaller dishes that were also outstanding.
Paired with Kumusha 2022’s Cabernet Sauvignon & Cinsault blend and Luc Devot’s 2020 AMB AMICS, and a lovely time of thought provoking conversation was shared among food in Downtown Los Angeles.
