During a morning pause while on my morning tour with Amy and Adrienne, (A Day in Versailles: A Train Ride from Paris, Touring Outdoor Markets and Bicycling Around Versailles) I decided to break away from the group and explore Versailles on my own.
Suddenly, the air was loud with church bells. As I followed the sounds up Rue de la Paroisse, I was drawn to Elise Notre-Dame. I stood in wonder at the grandeur of the church, as the rain lightly fell around me.

Seeking refuge, I noticed the stunningly beautiful windows of Gaulupeau Patisserie. Drawn in, I walked in for a sit down experience.

Browsing the selections, I was enthralled.
Rows and rows of culinary perfection greeted my eyes.

Sitting down for a light dine in snack, I first ordered a Coffee.

Along with, a plate of the Purple (Biscuit & Mousse aux Marrons, Compotée de Cassis, Crème de Marrons).

I finished with a plate of the Soleil des Bois (Biscuit Nature, Mousse Fruits Rouge, Crémeux Mangue Passion).

Each were incredible. I wanted to savor them more. Alas, I had a timed appointment to keep.
As I left to rejoin the group, I truly appreciated my authentic French patisserie experience in Versailles.
