Breakfast at Kahvalti at the Hagia Sofia Mansions Istanbul, Curio Collection by Hilton was delicious. Plus, it was only a short walk from my building to the restaurant.
I ordered SOSIS (beef sausage), WAFFLE (agave syrup, brown sugar, chocolate spread, strawberry, banana), TAZE MEYVE TABAGI (fresh fruit platter), FRESHLY SQUEEZED FRUIT JUICE, and EKMEK SEPETI (the bakery basket).
When my order arrived, I was visually impressed.
Breakfast was indeed wonderful. But, through no fault of the restaurant, the only annoyance was the amount of flies that showed up once my food was delivered. Between shooing flies and eating, I got full fast. However, it’s just one of the things to be mindful of in the region.
I enjoyed the minor conversations I had with my server and the roaming cats, searching for tasty treats. It was a lovely start to my day of exploring the mosques and bazaars in the area.
