Board and Drink

Board & Drink restaurant in San Francisco serves delicious and visually impressive brunch favorites in a warm, inviting setting

When visiting Northern California, one of my favorite things to do – besides find a new delicious restaurant –  is to visit my friends. For my stay in Fisherman’s Wharf, it made me so incredibly happy to meet up with Margaret for breakfast.

Walking to Board and Drink from my stay at Kimpton Alton Fisherman’s Wharf was an invigorating short walk.

As I arrived before Margaret, I put my name down with the host. Within minutes of Margaret arriving, we were seated comfortably in the dining nook of the restaurant.

Cozying up and connecting, I ordered a COFFEE to start the morning.

The menu was full of bangers. Each option looked better than the last. But with “board” right there in the name, it only felt apropos to order the board itself.

SOLO BOARD SET WITH DRINK
Served with your choice of sweets, protein, and eggs. All sets will also include a yogurt
parfait with berries, kiwi and granola. All sweets will be garnished with berry butter,
and mixed fruits: strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, and kiwi.

I switched out the eggs for the Garlic Herb Country Potatoes (Garlic, herbs, and green onion).

When it arrived, I sighed. Everything was exactly what I desired for a lovely weekend morning in San Francisco.

As we talked, Margaret told me about her recent travels in New Zealand and Fiji. I absolutely loved her stories, her excitement about her life and schedule for next year.

We even remarked on how wild it was that we met in 2015 at Kitchen Story, when I was sitting in a neighboring table and I commented that her friend had incredible black lipstick on. Fast forward to years later – in which Margaret was instrumental in calming me during my fibroid tumor removal process, helping me find the venue for the party I threw in Big Sur and truly – being one of the best friends that I’ve made just by saying “Hi, let’s connect on Facebook!”

As we finished up our delicious breakfast (no crumbs were left) and left to walk toward SkyStar Wheel – Fisherman’s Wharf, I was deeply pleased with another great find for brunch in San Francisco.
