Andaz Mexico City Condesa, by Hyatt

Andaz Mexico City Condesa is a luxury boutique hotel in the artistic La Condesa neighborhood with designer retro elements, plush comforts, and a rooftop pool, located steps from Parque Mexico

After I planned an incredibly beautiful birthday trip the year before – including wandering through Denmark, Portugal, the Netherlands, and England – I felt something stir in my spirit as the next one approached. A quiet, intuitive nudge: Wake up on your birthday in Mexico City.

I couldn’t explain it. I didn’t need to. I’ve learned to trust my intuition when it speaks exceptionally clearly.

But of course, a few months out, the usual doubts crept in. Maybe I should skip it this year. Maybe I should just stay home. Maybe I shouldn’t want so much.

Haha – bullshit. That thought? Complete nonsense. I’ve traveled too far, experienced too much, and poured too deeply into my life not to celebrate in a way that feels expansive and welcomes in my next turn around the sun.

So, after landing from a weekend in Napa, the clarity hit me: Book the trip. Do it before Wednesday. No second-guessing. Go.

I texted Geneva, who has an apartment in Mexico City, for her local insight. Without hesitation, she pointed me toward Roma Norte and Condesa as places to stay. A quick search later, I landed on the Andaz Mexico City Condesa.

I’m so happy I did.

Check In

The Uber ride from Mexico City airport to the Andaz took an hour due to traffic but was straightforward. Check-in was seamless.

We were escorted to the second floor for welcome drinks before being shown to our lovely high-floor room with beautiful city views.

Room and Stay

I absolutely loved the decor, vibe and beauty of the room. Every detail was intentional and well designed.

From the walk in shower to the sliding glass mirror – It was exactly what I wanted for my one night in Mexico City.

Because of the location in Condesa, the hotel was the perfect spot to walk into Roma Norte and enjoy the best of Mexico City.

We easily walked from the hotel to Expendio de Maíz, then Le Labo, and finally to our Tacos and Mezcal walking food tour starting point. After a long evening of exploration, the hotel provided the perfect comfortable retreat to rest and be present for the start of my next sun cycle.

Overall

I was extremely pleased with my stay at the Andaz – the vibe was exactly what I sought and the bed was comfortable. Waking up to watch the sunrise over Mexico City on my birthday was truly incredible.

It reminded me that saying yes to the possibilities of what my intuition brings in creates magic in my life.
