After a beautiful afternoon snowboarding River Run at June Mountain with Deja, it was time for the best part of any ski day - apres. There is something deeply satisfying about transitioning from the cold, crisp mountain air and into the vibes of a local brewery. Lucky for us, Deja already had the perfect spot in mind: June Lake Brewing. As someone who genuinely loves seeking out local craft breweries wherever I travel, I didn’t need much convincing.

After ordering tacos at La Parrilla Grill & Tacos, Deja and I walked into June Lake Brewing. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere immediately matched the energy of the day: relaxed, unpretentious, and welcoming.

After scanning the on-tap menu, I decided to go all in and ordered a beer flight, which gave me the chance to sample a little bit of everything June Lake Brewing had to offer. My flight included four very different pours:

- Oishii Japanese Rice Lager (4.8% ABV – Lager – Japanese Rice)
- Hockey Fight Hazy IPA (6.0% ABV – New England / Hazy IPA)
- JLA Banked XPA (6.3% ABV – IPA – White / Wheat)
- Turbo Sex Coffee Stout on Co2 (6% – Stout – Coffee)
It was a genuinely solid flight from start to finish. Each pour felt unique and well-crafted. Together they painted a picture of a brewery that knows exactly what it’s doing and clearly takes pride in the range and quality of its offerings.

By the end of the flight, my verdict was clear: June Lake Brewing has officially earned a place among my favorites in the Mammoth Lakes area, alongside Distant Brewing.
