Zinc Cafe and Bar

Zinc Cafe & Bar in downtown Los Angeles offers a varied selection of dining options in a beautiful, expansive setting

There are some weekend mornings that lend themselves to hanging out and relaxing downtown. In this case, I found myself downtown and in need of brunch after browsing and shopping at the Renegade Craft Fare, where I saw my friend Hilary and congratulated her on her wonderful display for Hil Top Pots.

After browsing and shopping the event, it was time to eat. So, after some consideration, I decided my partner and I should have brunch at  Zinc Cafe and Bar. There was a short wait. But, after that – we were seated.

Now, apparently it was a shortage regarding the servers that day. So, the wait to eat was almost an hour. And – as such, I had to be more assertive than usual for us to receive service. Because of this, service was a bit slower than I expected. But, the food? The food was solid.

For brunch, I started with the SALTED ROSEMARY LATTE.

For brunch,  the ZINC CLUB (salami, prosciutto, roasted turkey, tomato, arugula, fontina cheese, artichoke pesto, dijon lemon dressing on a ciabatta bun) caught my eye.

Overall, brunch at Zinc Cafe & Bar was completely fine. Yes, the wait was annoying. But, the warm cup of delicious coffee with the large portions of the sandwich made me feel cozy and comfortable in the space.

We left Zinc Cafe & Bar comfortably full and ready for the rest of the day.
