The Officine du Louvre is a breathtaking cocktail bar in Paris, celebrated for its exquisite drinks and elegant ambiance

There is only one word that truly captures the essence of the Officine du Louvre: exquisite. In fact, I’d go so far as to say it might just be the most beautiful cocktail bar in all of Paris. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in an atmosphere of timeless elegance, where every detail feels meticulously curated to transport you to a world of refined indulgence.

My love affair with this bar began the moment I was handed my welcome drink, a gesture of hospitality that set the tone for what would become an unforgettable time in Paris. I had arrived a little early, waiting for the final touches to be put on my suite at the Hotel du Louvre, and decided to settle into the bar’s plush surroundings.

As I scanned the menu, my eyes were immediately drawn to the BLUE VELVET (Rhum Clément canne blue, Pineapple juice, Blue curaçao, lavender and violet liqueur, Coconut cream). From the looks, it was a cocktail that promised to be as enchanting as its name.

One of the most beautiful gifts in life is the way a single “hello” can bloom into connection.

Meeting Thom at a wine event led to an evening of discovery at @baroolosangeles in DTLA—where I ventured deeper into South Korean cuisine beyond what I thought I knew. From the chef’s bar, every dish felt like an education in flavor, culture, and creativity. 🍴✨

We ended the night at @deathandcompany , with cocktails that reminded me that beauty exists not just in what we taste, but in the company, the conversations, and the courage to say yes to new experiences. 🍸

Adventure doesn’t always require a plane ticket—it can be found in our own city, when we remain open to connection, curiosity, and the joy of learning through food.

I loved Westbound and Down!!

After 6 miles of rafting thrills on Clear Creek 🚣‍♀️💦 Rosemary and I headed into Idaho Springs for a well-earned lunch. Westbound & Down hit the spot with award-winning brews, mountain views, and the perfect small-town vibe. 🍺🏔️ Nothing left but good memories (and maybe a few crumbs).

Beset by a combination of time zone changes and insomnia, I found myself awake in Paris at 2am. I couldn’t go to sleep because technically, my body was still operating half on Pacific Time and half on Eastern Time. So, throw in a flight to Paris that’s 8 hours ahead of your normal time zone, and there’s no doubt as to why I had a sleeping problem.

Luckily, instead of staring at a wall, wondering why I couldn’t sleep, I decided to be productive. Which meant booking activities for my few days in Paris.

Thumbing through Airbnb Experiences on my phone, I stopped scrolling at a rather unique title: “Craft a Souvenir hat with Lady Gaga’s Renowned hatmaker. To say that I was intrigued was an understatement. I read the workshop description and then clicked over to MiniMe’s Instagram to check out their visual story. Satisfied with my research, I booked the experience.

I am so glad I did. It was SO FUN!

First, since my hotel, Hotel du Louvre, was in the 1st Arrondissement, getting to MiniMe’s location in the 2nd Arrondissement was a quick taxi ride away. Why did I have to take a taxi? Because attempting to take an Uber in the city is a seemingly worthless endeavor.

Arriving at the location, I was a little nervous. This was my first full day in Paris. Would the class be in English and French? Would it be a nice experience? Turns out, I had absolutely nothing to worry about.

Banff has been on my bucket list for years, but when I finally made it, it became so much more than a trip—it was a return to myself.

Staying at the “Castle in the Rockies,” I woke up to views that made me pause, breathe, and remember what restoration feels like. From the still blues of Lake Louise to the surreal beauty of Jasper’s icefields, each moment was a lesson in slowing down and letting nature teach me presence.
