Pickles & Swiss

My lunch at Pickles & Swiss was a great way to break up my road trip to the Butterfly Grove - in Goleta, California

One morning, I decided to drive up to Pismo Beach to take photos of the Monarch butterfly migration at the Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove. A little over an hour after driving north on the 101 freeway, I felt the pangs of hunger hit my stomach.

A few minutes later, I parked and headed into Pickles & Swiss.

Looking at the menu, I was pleased by the choices available. I decided on a sandwich from the “Hot Sandwiches” category: the RUBEN (corned beef, swiss emmental, raw sauerkrau, pepperoncinis, house thousand & dijon on rye).

It was delicious and hit the spot. It was exactly what I needed to power through the rest of the drive up to Pismo Beach.
