As Rosemary and I stopped along the Los Angeles river bike path, we debated on if we wanted to stop at Spoke Bicycle Cafe or try a place that had continued to peak our curiosity. We opted for finally trying Lingua Franca. It had long held my curiosity, and I was happy for the chance to rest from our bike ride and converse with Rosemary over some delicious brunch.

The menu looked just as delicious and fun as the interior.

I started with the MEXICAN MOCHA (house chocolate syrup, espresso, milk). This was so cozy and delicious.

The DUTCH BABY PANCAKE (a pancake meets a crepe meets a popover – savory with prosciutto & ricotta cheese) was absolutely delicious. I loved how it tasted as good as it looked.

Rosemary also loved her EGGS IN PURGATORY.

Combined with the beauty of the eclectic space and brunch at Lingua Franca was exactly what we needed to break up our bike ride and fill our stomachs.
