There’s one phrase I love almost as much as “you’ve been upgraded”- and that’s: “Breakfast is included with your stay. Thank you for being a hotel loyalty member.”
On my final morning in Tahiti, those blessed words were what got me to breakfast.
Within minutes, I was seated at Moevai, overlooking the ocean.
The view alone was worth waking up for: vibrant parrotfish and other fishes swam just below the surface, next to my table. I’d hoped to see them while snorkeling. But there they were, right in front of me.
The breakfast spread? Perfection. From crepes and hash browns to rice with curry and fresh tropical fruit, it hit all the notes. Even the bread selection – as expected in a French territory – was excellent.
And the sashimi station? A total highlight.
What made it even better was the casual, lovely conversation I had with a fellow traveler. He clued me in on a weaving workshop happening at the Hilton Hotel Tahiti, later that morning.
Safe to say, breakfast at Moevai wasn’t just delicious – it was unexpectedly memorable. Truly, it was the perfect final sendoff.
