Eclectic Kim Review: Breakfast at Arbol at Conrad Punta de Mita

One of the true highlights of staying at a Conrad is the breakfast experience. From the buffets to the al la carte items, I have to say that around the world, that’s a Conrad highlight.

Truly, it was the perfect way to ease into the day. Plus, I loved the raptor! Just like at Conrad Algrave, I loved being greeted by a bird of prey in the morning.

Thanks to Hilton’s Gold program at Conrad Punta de Mita, we enjoyed two complimentary orders of the CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST (Selection of bread & pastries (3 pieces each), seasonal fruit, granola with yogurt, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice), which included a generous spread: a selection of three breads and pastries each, seasonal fruit, granola with yogurt, freshly brewed coffee, and fresh-squeezed juice.)

I also couldn’t resist ordering the CHILAQUILES (tomatillo sauce, aged Cotija cheese, avocado, red onion, sour cream, coriander, radish) with a side of CHICKEN. To our surprise and delight, the restaurant manager came by and offered us a complimentary Bloody Mary and Mimosa, adding a festive start to the morning.

Personally, I found the à la carte options far more satisfying than the buffet. The menu items are well-crafted and generously portioned—easily enough to skip the buffet altogether.

By our second morning, he was genuinely excited to return for breakfast. We ordered the CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST (Selection of bread & pastries (3 pieces each), seasonal fruit, granola with yogurt, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice) again and decided to sample something new: the CHICKEN ENCHILADAS (Shredded chicken , green or red salsa, sour cream, farmer’s cheese, avocado, pickled onion, coriander). This was another standout dish – rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

I will say – that you should check your bill (as always) during check out. I found an unauthorized charge, which I had swiftly removed, on principle. Other than that, breakfast was an outstanding experience and a great start to my morning, both days.
