In deciding where to go for dinner before the No Doubt show at the Sphere, I knew that I wanted to be as close to the Sphere as possible. In asking my friend Terrin about his favorite places to visit in Las Vegas with his family, his list included Mother Wolf - which I'd visited in Los Angles. But then, I remembered another restaurant that had a location in Los Angeles, but I hadn't been able to get a reservation at: SUSHISAMBA.
So, within short order, I made an early reservation.
Arriving at The Palazzo at The Venetian Resort, I made my way to the restaurant area.

Taking my seat, I began to feel myself getting excited for the evening.

First, I ordered the KONTEKI “TEARS OF DAWN” a daiginjo style sake from Kyoto, Japan. It was clean and full bodied – exactly what I wanted.

Next up was a bow of MISO SOUP (cilantro and tofu).

I ordered the miso sea bass from the robata menu. I intended to enjoy a standout entree grilled over Japanese charcoal. It delivered.

For my main course, I absolutely devoured the ASEVICHADO (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, white fish, avocado, cucumber, red onion, sweet potato, cancha corn, aji amarillo leche de tigre) and the HAMAPEÑO (yellowtail, jalapeno, robata grilled sweet plantain, spicy tempura flake, rocoto miso).

I absolutely loved every bite of food. Plus, the walk from the restaurant at The Palazzo side to The Venetian Resort side and down to the long hallway to the Sphere was perfect. I also stopped at the No Doubt experience on the way.
