While planning a trip to Sheridan, Wyoming to reconnect with a former college classmate and learn more about his family business, I found myself unsure about where to stay. I wanted somewhere comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located. But, Sheridan had a very limited amount of hotel available that fit my desired aesthetic preference. Nothing I came across quite felt right. That changed when Gene recommended his friend Tyler’s collection of Airbnb properties.
Right away, I was impressed by the thoughtfully curated selection. Each listing had a unique charm, and it was clear that attention to detail mattered. After browsing through the options, I chose The McCann Flat for its warm aesthetic, ideal location, and glowing reviews. It looked like the perfect place to unwind. And when I arrived, I realized that it absolutely was.
Check In
From the moment I arrived and opened the secure door with my personal code, I was struck by how cozy and welcoming the space felt. It smelled clean and fresh, and I actually said out loud, “Wow, this is so cute!”
The interior was beautifully styled and exactly like the photos promised, which isn’t always the case with rentals.
Stay
The bed looked so soft and inviting, I almost wanted to crawl in right then and there. But I made a cup of tea instead and settled onto the couch, enjoying the quiet and calm. After a long day of hiking and exploring in the nearby Big Horn National Forest, returning to The McCann Flat felt like coming home.
What I appreciated most was the sense of stillness and comfort. It was the perfect base for both productive conversation and peaceful rest.
Overall
Between the thoughtful touches, the tranquil atmosphere, and the excellent location, staying at The McCann Flat truly elevated my trip. Plus, it was beautiful to use it as a starting point to walk the Main Street of Sheridan.
