Venice Ristorante & Wine Bar

Venice Ristorante & Wine Bar in Denver serves authentic Italian cuisine in an upscale yet comfortable setting

It’s always a beautiful experience when I get to visit Denver and share a dinner with Sean and Kendra. For this evening, Sean suggested we meet at Venice Ristorante & Wine Bar downtown. Which, was a great choice, as I was craving a delicious Italian meal that would remind me of my time in Italy.

After a quick cocktail with Angie at Terminal Bar in Union Station, it was just a short stroll across the street to Venice.

The moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted and shown to the table. The ambiance was inviting, with elegant decor and a cozy, upscale vibe. But what I was really looking forward to were the conversations. With Kendra and Sean, I relished the conversations that unfold naturally over great food.

To start, I ordered a crisp glass of red wine that paired beautifully with the CHARCUTERIE & FROMAGE (Mozzarella Caprese, Parma prosciutto, mortadella, cacciatorini salami, imported parmesan cheese, grilled rustic bread and walnuts).

Every bite was a perfect mix of rich, savory flavors. I enjoyed the making little sandwiches with the meats and cheeses.

For my main course, I went with the POLLETTO PICCATA (chicken breast pan seared with capers & roasted garlic. lemon chardonnay wine sauce, served with seasonal vegetables) with ANGEL HAIR WITH GARLIC & OIL. It was comforting, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving.

For dessert,  I absolutely loved sipping an after dinner COFFEE as we collectively devoured the CREME BRULEE (Vanilla and orange custard and caramelized sugar crust).

What truly impressed me, though, was the service. After we’d left and headed to Terminal Bar for a nightcap, the staff noticed I had forgotten my sunglasses at the table. They didn’t just set them aside to hope that I’d return. No, they called Kendra to let her know.

That kind of attention to detail and care is exactly what makes a restaurant unforgettable. I left downtown Denver with my glasses in my purse and my heart full from a night well lived.

Venice Ristorante delivered on all fronts: food, ambiance, and service.

It was a wonderful night well spent in downtown Denver, Colorado.
