Needing a hotel for a short stay in Dubai before a connecting flight to Maldives, I arranged for a stay at the V Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton.
Landing in Dubai was surreal. I didn’t know that it would be so hot inside the airport – in November.
After a rather long but fantastic flight on Emirates, finally being on the way to the V Hotel Dubai was a welcome sight. It was surreal. The Burj Kalif shined like a diamond in the night as we passed by.
Entering the home, we took the elevator to the 30th floor for check in. Checking in was a breeze, as check in was done in interesting arrangement of pods. Since I was a Diamond status, I was upgraded into a larger suite.
It was – uniquely decorated…… to say the least. There were a lot of mirrors, pop culture pillows and a circular bed in the center of the room.
It was giving vintage space age imagination of the future.
The welcome macarons were nice. Dinner at Summer Palace was good. However, I had too much anxiety about the extremely early morning flight to Maldives to really relax. We literally arrived at the hotel around 10pm and were picked up to go to the airport at 1:45am.
Overall, the hotel was fine for what it was – a few hours stay. There’s also a night club there, which was a personal shock.
Frankly, let me be honest. There’s a lot of misinformation about what it’s like to visit Dubai. Hopefully, writing about my experiences will ease confusion and help at least one person out.
