Tony's Pizzaria serves up thin-crust pizzas in a casual setting in Ventura, California

After a nine mile bike ride with Leanne, stopping at Tony’s Pizzeria in Ventura to relax and eat lunch was exactly what was needed.

I decided to go for a classic combo and ordered a SAUSAGE & PEPPERONI slice paired with a slice of HAWAIIAN pizza. This gave me a solid balance of flavors. To drink, I chose the AVOCADO HONEY ALE from Island Brewing Company in Carpinteria.

As I took my first sip, Leanne asked, “Can you taste the avocado in it?” I paused for a moment and thought about it. The beer was light, crisp, and refreshing. And so I answered “Maybe?” I told her it wasn’t overwhelmingly avocado-forward, but it was exactly what I wanted. Truly, a solid complement to the laid-back beach atmosphere, the hearty pizza, and the overall good vibes of the day.
