The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta

Staying at the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta offered a comfortable stay in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Wanting to get out of Los Angles for a few hours, we decided to head to Atlanta for a weekend of exploration. I wanted to go to Magic City and we both loved watching the show Atlanta. So, it was an easy decision.

In researching where to stay, I knew that I wanted a beautiful property with access to Buckhead and other notable areas of interest in Atlanta. After remembering my wonderful time at The Ritz-Carlton Aruba and the Ritz-Carlton Santa Barbara, it was only natural to end up at the Atlanta location of the hotel.

Location

The location of the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta is definitely….. downtown. Based on its location, I would highly consider just valeting your car in order to get your car back in one piece with everything still in it.

I enjoyed eating at AG, Modern Bar and Steakhouse. The fried green tomatoes took me back to my Grandmother’s kitchen.

Room + Stay

Honestly, the hotel is okay. I will stay that it smelled wonderful and I loved the fresh flowers everywhere. However, when I checked into the room, I had to call maintenance to correct a bathroom issue.

The room itself was as I expected. Done in neutral tones of light gray wood, natural light and updated furniture.

Club Floor

I appreciated the club floor access, as I greatly enjoy snacks with my wine and light bites. And, eating a light breakfast here instead of finding a place outside of the hotel with a long line was a solid choice.

Plus, the cookies were delicious.

Overall

Overall, would I stay at The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta? Actually, I would suggest finding a hotel in Buckhead unless you specifically have things to do downtown. There is a higher amount of food venues there and you can safely walk around the area. Unlike downtown. Yes, it’s close to the Georgia Aquarium and easier to get to Magic City. Yes, it’s a Ritz-Carlton. But, that’s not enough of a reason to stay here.
