The Maker Restaurant

The Maker Restaurant offers a captivating dining experience, showcasing a thoughtful menu that highlights regional flavors.

During my check-in tour of The Maker Hotel, I was struck by a stunning area bathed in natural light from a vast skylight ceiling. Johnathon, the attentive concierge, paused our tour here to introduce me to The Maker Restaurant—a space as visually captivating as it was welcoming. The high, airy ceiling and elegant yet cozy décor instantly invited me in.

I eagerly decided to make a reservation to experience dinner there the following evening.

The next day, after enjoying a crafted cocktail in The Maker Lounge, I made my way to The Maker Restaurant for my final dinner in Hudson. I looked forward to an unforgettable dining experience to cap off my stay.

I began with the BARTLETT HOUSE BAGUETTE (Olio Verde, Aged Balsamico). This simple bread and oil mix was a delicious way to start the meal.

The cocktail of the meal, the MANHATTAN (whiskey, bitters) was delicious alongside being visually beautiful.

The BUCKWHEAT TORTELLI & PROSCIUTTO (Prosciutto Cotto, Ricotta And Parmesan Cheese With Champagne Vinaigrette Picked Beech Mushrooms) was absolutely delicious.

One thing that The Maker Restaurant knows how to do and does extremely well is present items beautifully. Plus, not only that – but make it taste good. Even the little beech mushrooms were delicious!

HERITAGE PORK CHOP (Savoy Cabbage, Yukon Potatoes, Fontina, Caraway). I ordered a side of FRIES on the side instead of the Yukon Potatoes. In addition to the ketchup and mayonnaise, I asked for a small dish of their BLACK TRUFFLE AOLI.

When this arrived to my table, I realize I had not mentally calculated HOW LARGE the pork chop was. For some reason, I mentally thought it would be as demure as my dish at feast & floret the previous evening.

Nope! But – this was absolutely delicious. In addition, I needed the protein due to the day’s hiking and adventuring.

To cap off my incredible meal, the staff gave me a complimentary TIRAMISU (mascarpone, ladyfingers)!

I was stunned and immediately thankful for their kindness and appreciation of my passing conversations with staff. I took it, along with my leftovers, and enjoyed my delicious dessert in the comfort of my bedroom.

In every detail, The Maker Restaurant creates a memorable dining experience that feels both timeless and deeply connected to Hudson’s vibrant local culture. I absolutely loved it as the final goodbye to my memorable stay at The Maker Hotel.
