The Hoffmann Hotel Basalt Aspen, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

My stay at the The Hoffmann Hotel Basalt Aspen was well designed, just outside of Aspen and priced right in Basalt, Colorado.

In planning a trip to Colorado, I knew that I wanted to revisit Aspen. Partly, to make new memories to replace my memories of my last visit to the area. Another top goal was to take astrophotography images of the Milky Way across the Maroon Bells. Plus, since I’d already spent time in Vail, enjoying Aspen seemed like the perfect spot to relax, explore and play before heading into Denver and Golden for the rest of my trip.

Location + Check In

Originally when searching for hotels in the area, I knew that I didn’t want to stay in Aspen. I wanted to try and stay somewhere darker, with a decent night sky that would make accessing areas for astrophotography a bit easier.  The Hoffmann Hotel Basalt Aspen is about 30 – 45 minutes from Aspen, in the Basalt / El Jebel area. I greatly appreciated this – as it was close to Aspen, without the Aspen price.

The drive from Denver to Aspen was a straightforward drive, just under 4 hours. When I arrived at the hotel, I was delighted. It was beautiful. Finding parking was easy – and I greatly appreciated it being free and plentiful. The external grounds and shared communal space of the hotel were gorgeous.

I opted to check in via the Hilton app, and stopped by the front desk for physical keys. I had no problems with using the digital key during my stay, which I greatly appreciated.

Room + Stay

When I opened my room door, I was extremely pleased.

My room overlooked the Roaring Fork River, which was perfect. The room itself felt clean, modern and well designed.

It was a pleasure grabbing a cup of coffee from the brew station, adventuring in Aspen and Maroon Bells – and then returning back to my room at the end of the day.

Overall

Overall, I greatly appreciated my stay at The Hoffmann Hotel Basalt Aspen, Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

It was a short drive from Aspen, was well designed and the bed allowed me to have a delicious sleep – which is most important when adventuring around Aspen, Colorado.
