It was a casual summer day that led me back to one of my favorite places in Southern California: The Farmhouse at Ojai Valley Inn. Driving from Los Angeles was – as expected. Traffic and delays had me arrive an hour and a half after my departure. But, once I moved through the gates and to valet, to park my car, I felt like I was a dimension away from Los Angeles.

Within minutes of hopping onto the guest shuttle, I was whisked away to The Farmhouse. As I quickly made my way into the demonstration room, I felt myself becoming – more of my full, final form of myself.

I cannot explain in mere words how much I absolutely love cooking classes at The Farmhouse. From the moment I walk to the doors, I feel that I’ve been mentally transported into a grand kitchen in a Nancy Meyers film: elevated, beautiful and fun.

After checking in, I was walked to my spot – which is my usual favorite: immediately in front, directly in front of the chef.

After light talking and sips of wine – cooking class began...

Have you been to LondonHouse yet?

A quick stop in Chicago turned into one of my favorite Hilton stays yet. ✨ LondonHouse Chicago sits right on the river with stunning skyline views, a jaw-dropping rooftop bar, and sleek, contemporary rooms that felt like pure luxury. 💫 From easy access to dinner at Smyth to waking up in style, this hotel absolutely impressed me. 🖤🏙️

Leaving Pincher Creek to make my way back to Montana for my flight back to Los Angeles, I wanted to take the most adventurous route. Yes, going back the way I came, back along the eastern slope of Glacier National Park was an option. But, I wanted more. I wanted to see more of what Southern Canada had to offer. It had been so long since I’d been in the visual pleasure of such remote wilderness. And I was determined to savor every bit of it.

So, at a comfortable point in the morning, I left Stardust Inn and Chalets to get gas. After getting my morning breakfast from Tim Hortons, I was on my way. I passed through Crowsnest Pass and saw the world’s largest truck in Sparwood before making my way to Fernie.

Sometimes the best adventures start when plans cha

Sometimes the best adventures start when plans change. After sleeping in at @onehundredshoreditch and missing breakfast, I wandered to BAO Noodle Shop—and it turned into exactly the reset I needed.

From crispy noodle chips to a silky bao bun, and finally a rich bowl of slow-cooked beef cheek noodles, every bite felt like a lesson in slowing down and savoring the moment. Pair that with peanut milk (yes, peanut milk!) and raspberry Yakult tea, and it was the perfect balance of curiosity and comfort.

Travel teaches us this: inspiration isn’t just in landmarks, but in the simple act of trying something new and letting yourself be present.

Sometimes the most memorable adventures aren’t planned—they’re the ones you say “yes” to.

After a starter dinner left us craving more, we wandered into Uchi Denver—and found ourselves immersed in a journey of flavor and artistry.

From delicate yellowtail bathed in ponzu and Thai chili, to buttery salmon belly nigiri that melted on the tongue, each dish was both tradition and innovation in perfect harmony. The bluefin otoro was pure luxury, while tempura kabocha and onion reminded me that even the simplest ingredients can shine when treated with care.

This is why I love to travel: it teaches me that beauty exists in the details—whether in a plate of food, a new city, or an unexpected moment of connection. Inspiration is everywhere, if we pause to savor it.
