Robert Biale Vineyards delivers a great tasting experience, combining rich history, warm hospitality, and outstanding Zinfandels in a lovely Napa Valley setting
Visiting Robert Biale Vineyards was one of the most memorable wine tasting experiences I’ve had in Napa Valley. I didn’t know how much of a fan I was Zinfandels, until my visit. Nestled in the heart of Napa, the vineyard offers an idyllic setting with sweeping views of the valley, making it a quintessential wine country experience.
I first heard about Robert Biale Vineyards during a previous visit to Cakebread Cellars. My wonderful tour associate, Sam, eagerly recommended it when I asked for winery and dining suggestions in the area. Based on her enthusiasm, I knew I had to make a visit. So, when I found myself in line at Bouchon Bakery after wine tasting at The River Club, pondering what to do next – my mind immediately settled on booking a tasting at Robert Biale.

One phone call later, and I left for the vineyard – with delicious pastries and a curious palate in tow.

When I sat down, I was immediately impressed by the beauty of the space. Once again, I had the privilege of a private tasting at my own table, which made the experience feel even more intimate and special.

Roberto was my guide for the tasting, and he was nothing short of charismatic, knowledgeable, and completely in tune with what I was looking for.

I’d told Roberto I was on a mission to find the perfect bottle to celebrate my dear friend Dr. Ted. A – shall I say – a bottle of wine that said “Congratulations, your wife just had a baby – and you are now living the life you always dreamed” kind of wine. It needed to be more than special; it needed to be outstanding and up to my standards.
Roberto provided that – and a full service experience as well.

At first, I thought my trip to Santa Rosa was just about checking off my visit to Russian River Brewing for Pliny the Younger. But as I sat there at Robert Biale Vineyards, sensually mulling over each sip, I realized this visit was about something deeper.
Roberto guided me through the tasting, weaving in stories of the land, the family, and the winery’s deep-rooted history. With every pour, I became more immersed in the heritage and passion behind each bottle.
Robert Biale Vineyards exceeded every expectation I had.
I left with not just a few bottles, but a deep appreciation for the legacy and craftsmanship behind each one. If you ever find yourself in Napa Valley, this is a place that absolutely deserves a visit.
