After a fantastic pre dinner cocktail at Chopper Tiki Bar and then dinner at St. Vito Focacceria, Ogden and I weren’t ready to call it a night – just yet. So, he led me to one more night spot in Nashville that he loved: Pearl Diver.
Walking in, I absolutely loved the aesthetics and vibe of the space. It truly seemed like a place one could go to, relax and enjoy times with friends or just be alone and read a book while being left unbothered.
We grabbed seats at the bar and I browsed the menu.
As Ogden made humorous small talk with the staff, I decided on the Midnight Espresso (Chai-Vanilla Soaked Bacardi Ocho (Dark Rum), Coffee Liqueur, Espresso Syrup). I wanted an espresso style martini as a nightcap. But, with a twist.
I loved watching Ogden’s drink arrive on fire. And my drink arrived just as it tasted: smooth.
As I sipped and had our final conversations with Ogden about his dating life and my travels, I still marveled in delight about the beauty of meeting him during the Evening Taco and Mezcal Walking Tour in Mexico City with Airbnb Experiences and now, we were having such a lovely time in Nashville.
Truly, I love the way my life unfolds for me.
