The Kimpton Claret in Denver’s Belleview Station offers an upscale stay with sweeping Rocky Mountain views from its rooftop lounge
After two stays at the Thompson Denver in Downtown, I felt it was time to explore a new part of the city. That led me to the newly opened Kimpton Claret, located in the Denver Tech Center.
Following a slightly delayed flight and a snowy drive, pulling up to the Kimpton Claret truly felt like a breath of fresh air. Honestly, the older I get, the more I appreciate coming back to Colorado. This time, to reconnect with college friends and snowboard in Breckenridge. The Kimpton Claret was perfectly positioned to get to everything I wanted to do, during my time in Denver.
Check In
Walking inside the hotel, I was immediately pleased. It was gorgeous and visually delightful.

After a few warm laughs and quick service for check in, I was on my way to my room, gear and suitcase in tow.
Room + Stay
Walking into my room, I immediately felt a sense of calm. The design was elegant and understated – neutral tones, cozy textures, and the kind of ambiance that invites you to unwind. Kimpton always nails the details, and this stay was no exception. The curated minibar, luxe bath products, and thoughtful touches were all there.

And the bed? Incredible. On par with what I’ve experienced at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara, Four Seasons Vail, and Thompson Seattle, Denver and Washington DC. The sheets were so soft, I genuinely debated how late I could leave and still make it to my snowboarding class in Breckenridge.
There’s something really special about being among the first to stay at a newly opened hotel. Like my experience at the Hoxton Brussels just after opening, everything felt fresh, crisp, and lovingly maintained – not worn down by years of foot traffic, yet.

Dining
Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Saverina, was a pleasant surprise. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, but the food blew me away. It was flavorful, well-priced and beautifully presented.
Later, my friend Traci and I headed up to Halo Bar, the rooftop lounge, for some water and conversation. The atmosphere was chill and inviting – perfect for catching up.
Parking
On my first night, I stuck with street parking because I wasn’t sure about the valet or self-park setup. At check in, I learned valet was $55 per night with full in-and-out privileges. Alternatively, there was a lot across the street in an apartment complex for $25 a night, without in and out privileges. Due to my weekend stay, I parked on the street and saved over $100.
Overall
I’m so glad I gave the Kimpton Claret a try. The location was quiet and beautiful, the service was top-notch, and the bed? Next-level comfort. This is exactly what I’ve come to love about Kimpton properties: stylish, welcoming, and hard to leave.
