After visiting Julian Farms & Orchard for seasonal fun, I knew exactly what I wanted after: a visit to Julian Pie Company for some apple pie.

After a short wait inside, we settled on a slice of their famous CHERRY APPLE CRUMB PIE (Tart Michigan cherries, Granny Smith apples), topped with CINNAMON and VANILLA ICE CREAM, with a SMALL HOT CIDER to complete the moment.

The first bite of that pie was pure bliss. Especially, with the head of the day. The tart cherries and sweet apples blended perfectly, with the crumb topping adding a satisfying crunch. But what really made it special was the ice cream. As the cinnamon and vanilla melted into the warm pie, it became a delicious mix of flavors. I could not get enough of it.

I took a sip of the hot cider between bites, and the warmth of the cinnamon and cloves in the cider added to the idea of the cozy, autumnal vibe I wanted. Except it was in the shade of a 100 degree day. But, it didn’t matter that the day was hot AF—sitting there, sharing a slice of delicious pie and drinking apple cider felt like pure comfort.

Still hungry, we then ordered the DUTCH APPLE PIE, too. One bite and I was hooked all over again. The buttery crust was golden and flaky, with thick layers of apples that had just the right amount of sweetness.

Julian is all about its apples, but the real showstoppers are the pies at Julian Pie Company. Each bite is something to savor, until the next one.
