Josephine’s Speakeasy Bar & Kitchen

After an incredible time at Glacier National Park and checking in to my stay at Under Canvas – Glacier, it was time for dinner. After comparing and reviewing the one sheet of recommended places from my airport car rental company, I chose Josephine’s Speakeasy Bar & Kitchen – as it was literally a mile and a half away.

Arriving, I was immediately impressed. Josephine’s Speakeasy was clean, modern and felt comfortable. I quickly settled into a table next to the window.

I immediately ordered a BEARPROOF SOUR (Bearproof whiskey, huckleberry liqueur, eggwhite, lemon) and began drinking copious amounts of water.

Now, there was one thing that I secretly desired as my protein for the evening: seafood. I remembered my very first visit to the region and absolutely relished the memory of how delicious the fresh fish was.

So, when my ordered SALMON (charred vegetables, sriracha aioli) arrived to my table, I was ecstatic. It was presented as beautiful as it was tasteful.

However – I was still hungry. I honestly hadn’t eaten, beyond a savory bear claw pastry at Polebridge Mercantile & Bakery, all day.

Browsing the menu again, I ordered the SKEWERS (chicken thigh, Japanese BBQ, herbs). To go with it, I sipped the SAZERAC (North Fork Rye whiskey, Trail Of The Cedars absinthe, bitters). It was all perfectly satisfying and delicious.

After a day immersed in the beauty of Glacier National Park, I’m so happy that my day ended at Josephine’s Speakeasy Bar & Kitchen. My dinner was layered with outstanding regional flavors, with genuine warmth and a distinct Montana charm.
