With its inviting atmosphere and beautifully designed space, Jams restaurant at 1 Hotel Central Park provides a perfect backdrop to enjoy a delicious cocktail and meal in Manhattan.
After a lovely day exploring SUMMIT at One Vanderbilt, lunch at Centurion New York and walking back to 1 Hotel Central Park, I was once again in love with the bustling city that is New York.

But, after such a busy day, I was in need of my own cocktail hour. So, I dropped some items off in my hotel room, got my laptop and headed down to the hotel’s restaurant, Jams.
After checking with the hostess, I was guided to a seat for one at a high top table. I browsed the menu and immediately ordered the P.S. I LOVE YOU (Russel’s 10 yr Bourbon, Pumpkin Puree, Autumn Spices). The was everything I loved about the autumn season, in a cup.
It was here that I met Mensa, one of the food and beverage manager for 1 Hotel Central Park. In passing, he asked how my drink was and how I was enjoying my time at Jams. After I raved about it, we ended up getting into a conversation about live music in New York. That’s what I love about 1 Hotel Central Park. Every conversation I had with staff led itself to a deeper connection with another human. In this case, my conversation with Mensa and his suggestions led me to a jazz show at Room 623 in Harlem.
He then asked if I was interested in another cocktail. So, I ordered the EL DIABLO (Maestro Dobel Silver Tequila, Ginger, Cassis, Soda). This, as well, was perfectly curated for the season.
The following morning, I was truly thankful for Mensa for having the foresight for booking my breakfast reservation at Jams.

Settling into my seat in a booth, I took in the beauty of the restaurant.
I decided to start my morning off right with the CAFÉ NEGRONI cocktail.
I am always a fan of a great morning cocktail. This was – exceptional.
For my main course, I opted for the STEAK & EGGS (Flank Steak, Two Fried Eggs, Red Chimichurri). However, I decided to switch out the eggs for JW POTATOES (rosemary, pecorino). The combination was solid. I also enjoyed a cup of FRESH FRUIT, adding a touch of sweetness to my savory breakfast.
To round off the meal, I decided to try a CARAJILLO – a delicious mix of espresso and liquor that I had never had before. It turned out to be the perfect pairing, enhancing the overall breakfast with its rich and bold flavors.
I finished with a MATCHA LATTE to go, which was the ideal sip as I made my way to the Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station.
Truly, my breakfast at Jams at 1 Hotel Central Park was a lovely want to end another fantastic, richly beautiful few days in Manhattan.
