Happy hour at Hudson House was a great spot to relax and enjoy well crafted cocktails in Beverly Hills, California
After a rather long day, it was a pleasure to meet Chris and Jeff at Hudson House in Beverly Hills.
Ultimately, I love a good happy hour in a beautiful atmosphere. And Hudson House was perfect for the occasion.

Due to my hectic time in traffic, they were nice enough to order me a BLEU & GOLD (Grey Goose, olive juice, bleu cheese salt, housemade bleu cheese olives) martini that was ready when I arrived.
And then they told me that they were moving back to the East Coast.
I shamelessly cried as I acknowledged that it was the right thing to do for their quality of life. It’s always incredibly sad to know that dear friends can no longer be accessible for an immediate cocktail or bike ride.
I drowned my sorrows in a shared round of OYSTERS (seasonal mignonette & cocktail sauce).
As I reflected on our happier times and we talked about their future back East, I enjoyed the STONE FRUIT (peach vodka, orange liqueur, white cranberry) martini with with the THE CHEESEBURGER (double thin patties, removed the American cheese, sliced pickles & minced onion, Hudson sauce) and order of SKINNY FRIES.
It truly hurt to sit with my feeling of saying goodbye to a couple who I appreciate, dearly. I still remember meeting Chris at our former real estate company. Our friendship was as effortless as Chris’ witty quips.
But, that’s the thing about being an adult and living – friendships transform. And I am better for meeting and knowing them both.
Plus, I always love a good reason to visit New England.
