Hoxton Paris

Staying at the Hoxton Paris was a lovely pied-à-terre for my extended hours long layover in Paris, France

Finishing up my tour of Hoxtons around the world, I checked in to the Hoxton Paris for my overnight layover in Paris.

I remembered that while I was at the Hoxton Amsterdam, one of the front desk agents raved about the Paris hotel. So, naturally, when in Paris to see Crazy Horse Paris once more, it was easy to pick the Hoxton Paris for a short stay.

Location

The hotel itself is on a side street, between Boulevard Poissonniere and Rue Des Jeuneurs. Immediately upon walking through the doors, I understood why the Hoxton Amsterdam front desk recommended the hotel so highly. It was beautiful and tastefully modern and well done.

Stay

My stay at the Hoxton Paris was super short. Mere hours.

The room was comfortable sized and pleasant. I loved the personal touch of a check in snack, in room.

I just – personally – do not like the brass on the bathroom fixtures. It patinas, turns green and looks distasteful.

Otherwise, the room was fine. Definitely worth the Hoxton Amsterdam’s recommendation.

Service

My light dinner at Rivie was refreshing, after so much Italian cuisine.

But – again – I need to stress the key points that I outlined in my post – Don’t Get Taxi Scammed: Three Travel Tips for Traveling in Paris.

Unless you speak fluent French: Have the hotel call the taxi company for you; Use Uber or the G7 app; Or, take the subway.

The front desk at the Hoxton Paris requested my taxi from a reputable company for my transit to Crazy Horse Paris, without a problem. The bullshit taxis that I caught on the way back? I’ll chalk it up to a learning experience.

And, when I had to leave to meet my Welcome Pickups driver at 4am, checkout was a breeze.

Staying at The Hoxton Paris was a truly well appointed, tastefully designed, social hub of a slice of Parisian life – during an an oh so short stay in France.
