Forge Napa serves wood-fired pizzas and American classics in a relaxed downtown setting in Napa, CA

Ever since I met Margaret, my life has been blessed with her presence. She’s been such a force of happiness, high energy and friendship in my life. So, when I’m in Northern California, I always try and visit.

Since my focus was Napa this time – instead of San Francisco and Oakland – Margaret suggested that we meet at Forge Napa. I was excited because not only did I get to try a new to me spot. But also, I got to spend time with a friend that took the time to drive down to LA  the day before my fibroid surgery to comfort me and remind me that I was going to wake up again after the anesthesia.

I order the ANGRY SHRIMP (wood fired w/ butter, lemon vinaigrette, chili flakes, sea salt) to start.

The FORGE PEPPERONI PIZZA (red sauce, mozzarella, Zoe’s nitrate free pepperoni, jalapeño, green olive, red onion) was perfect. Not only did I enjoy the pizza itself. But, I also ripped the pieces of bread and dipped and slathered them into the Angry Shrimp’s butter and lemon sauce. It was delicious.

For a finishing touch, we shared bites of the CHURROS WITH ICE CREAM (caramel and chocolate sauce).

My time at Forge Napa was wonderful. Because it provided the background for meaningful conversations with a dear friend.
