Breakfast at DUO at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

A buffet breakfast at DUO at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea was the perfect way to start the day in Maui

During check in at Hotel Wailea, I asked for a recommendation for the best breakfast in Wailea, off the hotel property. Without hesitation, our check in person highly recommended the buffet breakfast at DUO Steak and Seafood, at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.

So, when the morning arrived for breakfast, we took a chauffeured ride from Hotel Wailea and were dropped off at the lobby of the Four Seasons.

A short walk later and we were seated for service at DUO, for breakfast.

After browsing the menu, we both ordered the FULL ISLAND BUFFET (Selection of Tropical Juices, Coffee, Housemade Pastries and Breads, Fresh Fruit, Granola and Yogurt, Cheeses, Sliced Deli Meats and Salmon plus French Toast, Pancakes, Waffles, Omelets Made to Order, Eggs Any Style and Breakfast Meats).

The buffet selection at DUO was outstanding. My personal favorite dish was the BLUEBERRY MACADAMIA NUT PANCAKES WITH COCONUT SYRUP.

This was – just one of the absolute best breakfast items I’ve had the pleasure of eating.

Plus, the selection of fresh juices offered was *chef’s kiss*

I also thought the biscuits and gravy, thick cut bacon and selection of fruits was outstanding. Plus, you can’t beat the view. The Four Seasons pool and the surrounding gardens were beautifully manicured.  It was a pleasure to finish up breakfast and walk to Wailea Beach, via the easy to follow path.

As a side note, the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea offers locally made Hi Spice as hot sauce condiment. There’s nothing like the right mix of fruit and spice on a savory item. We loved it so much that we ordered it once we returned to the mainland.
