Alpenrose Vail is my go to favorite dinner spot for delicious Alpine and Switzerland inspired cuisine in Vail, Colorado
In planning my ski trip to Vail, I knew that there was only one place that I wanted to enjoy dinner. During a previous trip, I had the pleasure of enjoying a cozy dinner at Alpenrose Vail. So, it was only natural that I return for another visit.
At the appointed time of my reservation, I walked the short distance from the Four Seasons Vail to Alpenrose Vail.

I began my evening with the GLÜHWEIN WÄLDERTAU (German hot mulled wine with natural flavors). It was absolutely lovely with the PRETZEL (Fresh baked German pretzel). This time, I added the add OBAZDA DIP (a typical Bavarian cheese specialty).

Now, I must say that the presentation of the pretzel changed a LOT from the previous visit. I absolutely loved the fact that it was presented on an antler, in front of me.
For a second appetizer, I ordered the BAYRISCHE WEISSWURST (pair of Bavarian Weisswurst with pretzel and mustard). This was also delicious, of course.

For my main course, I savored the ALPEN GNOCCHI (Alpine Gnocchis with chestnut truffle filling, tomato sauce and arugula, topped with parmesan flakes).
Everything was absolutely delicious and I left feeling extremely satisfied.

On a previous visit, I started my dinner with the ROSE LUMUMBA (German hot chocolate with rum and whipped cream).
It was cozy and felt like Switzerland in my hands.

We split the PRETZEL (Fresh baked German pretzel + cheese) as an appetizer.
The mustard and the cheese was absolutely delicious.
For my main entree, I GREATLY enjoyed the RAUCHERLACHS & ROSTI (Smoked salmon with Swiss potato pancakes, arugula and horseradish cream).

The potato pancakes were delicious with the smoked salmon. The horseradish gave the perfect heat to the dish. It was just cozy, delicious and truly enjoyable.
I look forward to many more repeat visits in the future.
