Dining at Allegro gave our group a delicious selection of well crafted cocktails and Italian food - in San Diego, California
A group dinner in Little Italy to celebrate Sonni was on the schedule. So, we all gathered together to dine at Allegro Restaurant and Bar.

We ordered drinks and started with the CALAMARI FRITTI (fried calamari, spicy marinara, lemon spicy aioli), SIGNATURE CAESAR (little gems, house-made Caesar dressing, Parmesan tuille croutons) and PROCUITTO & BURATTA.

I then had the ORECCHIETTE BARESI (roasted garlic, Italian sausage, sun dried toasted pistachio crumbs).
Overall, I have to say – simply – that the food was good.
Other Italian restaurants I love in San Diego are Bencotto on Fir Street, Ironside Fish & Oyster on India Street or Herb & Wood on Kettner. But the food at Allegro is a good choice.
