A5 Steakhouse – Denver

A5 Steakhouse in Denver delivers a great dining experience with stunning ambiance and highlights like Japanese A5 Wagyu beef

It was a joy to meet an elementary school friend and her husband during my time in Denver. They suggested A5 Steakhouse.  After browsing the menu, I was instantly excited. As the night approached, I eagerly anticipated savoring delicious food and catching up with good friends.

Arriving before Heather and her husband, I took the opportunity to relax at the bar at A5 Steakhouse, sipping on the JET PILOT (overproof rums, warming spices, grapefruit, and lime) while admiring the beautiful ambiance. The restaurant was absolutely stunning.

We started by sharing the POUTINE (steak fries, cheddar curd, chicken confit, chicken chicharron, and sage gravy), a hearty and quintessentially Midwestern dish.

Next, we enjoyed the DAILY OYSTERS which included selections from both the East and West Coasts: Merritt Island and Basket Island from Maine, as well as Shigoku and Kumamoto from Washington. As always, they were a treat.

I also indulged in a bottle of Avery Brewing Company’s Barrel-Aged Series “Amicitia,” an 8.2% Cabernet Sauvignon barrel-aged sour, bottled in 2017. It was a brilliantly delicious choice and well worth the $20 price tag.

While my friends enjoyed the MACARONI & CHEESE CROQUETTES (jimmy nardello and tomato jam) , I focused on the BAJA HAMACHI (shiro dashi, crispy kombu).

The CRAB TOAST (Jonah crab,  cucumbers, yuzu kosho aioli, soy sauce, togarashi-dusted potato chips) was another standout dish.

Of course, the highlight of the evening was the JAPANESE A5 STRIPLOIN (BMS 12 Miyazaki prefecture raised certified Waygu served with ponzu and onion).

Our time at A5 Steakhouse was vibrant, enjoyable, and filled with delicious flavors, all set against a backdrop of rich, elegant decor.
