Arriving in Fes after the drive from Chefchaouen, I was excited for our first night at the riad. Kim spoke incredibly highly of it - and after our stay at Casa Hassan Chefchaouen and my experience of Private Tour of the Blue City of Chefchaouen, Morocco with Fatima Habte, I looked forward to our next stop in our Morocco adventure.
Welcome
As other members in the tour group followed Kim to the local hanmam, Rachid led Denise, Fran and I toward Dar Al Safadi.
Once we arrived, we were met with an incredible sight. It was visually stunning.
We were quickly greeted with a warm welcome of mint tea.

First Dinner

Our first prepared dinner at Dar Al Safadi began with a warm bowl of Carrot Soup.

It was followed by a light bite of Pear and Gorgonzola Crisp (cheese, onion).

It continued with Chicken with Seven Spices (including cumin, saffron, turmeric, ginger, paprika, Ras el hanout and something else) with Potatoes Two Ways.

We finished with bites of chocolate cake.

First Breakfast
Our first breakfast at Dar Al Safadi was filled with Western Pancakes and a selection of jams, dates, butter, and eggs.

Second Dinner
For our second dinner at Dar Al Safadi, we started with Pea Soup (almond, cumin and paprika).

Our salad course was a Tomato Salad (tomato, pepper, olive, goat cheese).

The main course was a pleasant tagine of Spiced Chicken with Spices.

For desert, we enjoyed an Almond Crisp.

Second Breakfast
Second breakfast was a quick affair, as I chose to stay in bed a bit later for more sleep. I don’t know what I had. But, this was a nice bite to enjoy with coffee, orange juice and jams.

Altogether, our meals at Dar Al Safadi werea delightful blend of comfort, flavor, and hospitality - an experience that beautifully deepened our journey through Morocco.
