Some moments hit you right at the core. For me, it was when my external hard drive – holding nearly two decades of photography – failed in the middle of transferring images from a recent event. I was devastated. The only thing keeping me steady was knowing I had breakfast with Sefora the next morning.
After dropping the drive off at a local data recovery shop, I made my way to the Fairfax district. Seeing Sefora was exactly the reset I needed.

As soon as we sat down, I ordered a coffee with bottomless refills, finally allowing myself to exhale.
Then came the star of the morning: FRIED CHICKEN AND WAFFLE (Thai-style fried chicken with tom yum seasoning and crispy basil). One bite, and I was in love.
The host’s recommendation and talking to Sefora turned out to be the perfect distraction from my swirling anxiety.
And honestly, that was all I needed.
