I first discovered The Boy and the Bear years ago, at their first location in Redondo Beach (The Black Store). I thought it was lusciously visually delicious – in both vibe and quality of coffee.
So, when I noticed the location in Pasadena, I was above and beyond excited to meet Kay and try it out. I ordered the STOCKHOLM FOG (A blend of mocha + chai) and it was exactly what I needed in my life. Rich, creamy and delicious.
Another time, I had the pleasure of enjoying a meat filled pastry and a seasonal latte. Now, honestly – the pastry was pretty – but SUPER flakey. Good – but, messy. The drink was A+ as always.
Highly recommend for great coffee and as a spot to be seen.
